Orientation and Mobility: coming out door

For the past 15 years, Invision Services has enhanced and enriched the lives of visually impaired students and adults from Murphy to Morehead City in North Carolina.

John Higging, Invision directorJohn Higgins, Founder, Director of Services, and Certified Orientation & Mobility Specialist, incorporated this practice in 1992 under the name “Orientation & Mobility Services, Inc.” to meet the orientation and mobility needs of visually impaired and blind students statewide.

In 2006 we changed our name and became Invision Services, Incorporated to reflect the broader scope of vision-related services we provide the public schools of North Carolina and to include more services for the growing population of visually impaired adults.

Invision’s two-fold goal:

  • To provide accessible special education and vision-related services of high quality for public school systems and individual adult consumers.
  • To provide employment opportunities for vision-related educators and professionals.

Our goal is based on our team approach and win-win philosophy of service: As we serve the needs of our clients, we serve each other’s growth.
